These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the UNBOTHERED mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service") operated by UNBOTHERED ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using UNBOTHERED, you confirm that you are at least 17 years old, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be bound by them. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. Use of the service

2.1 Permitted use

UNBOTHERED is provided for personal, non-commercial use. You may use the Service to track your mindset practice, use the tools and journal features, and engage with AI-powered features as described in the app.

2.2 Prohibited use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the app
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service
  • Use the Service to transmit harmful, offensive, or illegal content
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Circumvent any subscription or payment requirements
  • Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service

2.3 Medical disclaimer

UNBOTHERED is a self-development tool, not a medical product. The app does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The psychological techniques referenced in the app are based on published research but their application within the app is not a substitute for professional mental health care. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified healthcare professional or crisis service.

3. Subscription terms

3.1 Free trial

New users may access the full Service free for three days. No payment information is required to start a free trial. At the end of the trial period, your subscription will automatically being to continue using UNBOTHERED's features.

3.2 Subscription plans

UNBOTHERED is available on weekly, monthly and annual subscription plans.

3.3 Billing

Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

3.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then. We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods, except where required by applicable law.

3.5 Price changes

We may change subscription prices at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of price changes. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

4. Intellectual property

The UNBOTHERED name, logo, app design, content, and all associated intellectual property are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not grant you any ownership of intellectual property — only a limited licence to use the Service as described.

Your journal entries and personal content remain yours. By using AI features that process your content, you grant us a limited licence to transmit that content to our AI provider solely for the purpose of generating the requested response. We do not claim ownership of your content and do not store it on our servers.

5. Availability and changes

We aim to keep UNBOTHERED available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

We may update the app with new features, changes to existing features, or bug fixes. Some updates may be required to continue using the Service.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

We make no guarantees about specific outcomes from using UNBOTHERED. Results vary between individuals and depend on consistent use of the Service over time.

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising out of these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
